It’s time for the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Who will make it to the Elite Eight?
We’re down to the last day of the Sweet 16 in NCAA tournament action on Friday. The remaining four games for the round will be broadcast by either CBS or TBS (live streaming via fuboTV, TBS, CBS All-Access, and March Madness Live).
On Friday, top seeds North Carolina and Duke will take on Auburn, the fifth seed, and Virginia Tech, the fourth seed, respectively.
Duke is obviously the big name there. They were nearly upset at the hands of No. 9 UCF in their last outing. They won in the very final seconds, with Zion Williamson managing to get past Tacko Fall at the perfect moment. They won by a single point, but then again, that was an extremely tough UCF team that was structured pretty well toward beating Duke. Can Virginia Tech put up the same kind of fight?
On Thursday, Gonzaga sent Florida State back home with a 14-point victory to open the action. Purdue forced Tennessee into overtime and picked up a 99-94 victory to secure a spot in the Elite Eight. In the later games, Texas Tech held Michigan to under 50 points in their 63-44 win and Virginia defeated Oregon in a close 53-49 win.
Here are Thursday scores and the schedule and viewing info for Friday evening.
