With two quarterbacks just hitting their rhythm, will Deshaun Watson or Dak Prescott come out on top on “Sunday Night Football”?
Both the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans recovered from Week 3 losses the last time out, with the former beating the Lions, 26-24, and the latter beating the Colts, 37-34. They will face each other for Sunday Night Football in Week 5, beginning at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC (live streaming via FuboTV, NBC Sports).
Dallas is 2-2 on the season, second in the NFC East, with their biggest issues thus far being a lack of big plays from the offense. Ezekiell Elliott has been productive with 426 yards rushing, but Dak Prescott has only thrown for 753 yards and four touchdowns against a pair of interceptions all while being sacked 14 times.
For Houston, Deshaun Watson was slow to start the season, but has made some big plays in recent weeks. He has 1,246 yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions, while rushing for 161 yards and a touchdown.

Cowboys vs. Texans news
- Both Lamar Miller and Will Fuller have missed practice time in the lead-up to the game, but both believe they’ll be able to play on Sunday.
- For the Texans, Jadeveon Clowney is coming off a big week, and was named the AFC Defensive Player of Week 4. J.J. Watt is coming off of just being named the AFC Defensive Player of the Month. So they’ve got that going for ‘em.
- Both David Irving and Randy Gregory missed practice this week, though neither was absent for injury reasons. Sean Lee and Travis Frederickmissed time, as did Terrance Williams.
- Fortunately, running back Ezekiel Elliottisn’t going to miss any time after he was banged up in the team’s last outing.
- Demarcus Lawrence is somehow flying under the radar this season, but he’s been a ridiculously good pass-rusher through four weeks. The folks at Blogging The Boys think that Lawrence should be a serious candidate for Defensive Player of the Year.
- Speaking of great defenders, Watt is continually chasing the record books.
- Play-calling is tricky, but there’s one (mostly) money play the Cowboys have been running.
- Dallas currently leads the league in rushing yardage and sacks— two extremely important categories to lead.
