Kawhi Leonard’s new sneaker ad throws obvious shade at James Harden and Kevin Durant

Kawhi “doesn’t chase fouls” or “sweat the comments.”

Kawhi Leonard signed an endorsement deal to create his own line of sneakers with New Balance in November after rejecting Jordan Brand’s last offer. Now, he’s set to debut them during the NBA’s All-Star weekend, and we know this because of a promo video launched by New Balance that is very, uh, passive-aggressive.

It seems like New Balance and Kawhi were reading the many jokes sent out after the pair united, and neither are having it.

Leonard is known for being extremely quiet both on and off the floor. The one time Leonard actively called out that he is a “fun guy,” he followed it with one of the most historically important and distinct laugh of all time, one for which he’s still made fun of to this day.

Now, after a tumultuous season with the Spurs that ended in a dramatic forced trade, he’s rebranding ... by sticking to the brand he’s always had.

In the ad, he tells us he doesn’t chase foul calls

Accompanied by a crying emoji and the sounds of a baby, Leonard enforces the notion that complaining for foul calls is childish. I wonder which bearded left-handed shooter for the Rockets he could be referencing?

Leonard also doesn’t read the comments

I wonder which Kevin Duranthe’s alluding to here.

Twitter picked up on this very quickly:

Now we wait until the weekend to see the debut of these hyped-up sneakers which supposedly speak for themselves.
