The West Virginia Mountaineers look to keep their playoff hopes alive with a win at Oklahoma State as small betting favorites against the Cowboys on Saturday.

The No. 9 West Virginia Mountaineers are 0-3 straight up and against the spread in their last three games against the Oklahoma State Cowboys, losing those three games by an average margin of 11.7 points per game. The Mountaineers will need to snap this losing streak against the Cowboys this Saturday if they hope to keep their College Football Playoff dreams alive.

West Virginia is a 4.5-point road favorite in Stillwater at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. In their last 30 road games played in the month of November, the Mountaineers are 22-7-1 ATS.

Mountaineers at Cowboys OddsShark Matchup Report

West Virginia Mountaineers

The Mountaineers followed up their frantic 42-41 win over the Texas Longhorns with a much more convincing win last Saturday, crushing the TCU Horned Frogs 47-10 as 13-point favorites.

With the win, West Virginia improved to 8-1 SU and 6-2-1 ATS on the season and to 3-0 SU and 2-0-1 ATS since picking up their only loss of the season at Iowa State. The cancelled game against North Carolina State would have been a good opportunity to bolster the resume, but the Mountaineers still have their upcoming game against Oklahoma and the Big 12 Championship Game in which to make statements.

Since November of 2016, West Virginia is 6-1 SU and 3-3-1 ATS in its last seven games as a road favorite per the OddsShark College Football Database.

Oklahoma State Cowboys

Oklahoma State pushed Oklahoma to the limit as a 21.5-point road underdog last Saturday, suffering a hard-fought 48-47 loss in Norman. The Cowboys opened the season with a 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS run, but have since gone just 2-5 SU and 3-4 ATS in conference play.

Over the team’s current 1-4 SU and 2-3 ATS slump, the defense has allowed 39.4 points per game. Oklahoma State is 1-5 ATS in its last six November home games.

Saturday’s total is the highest in the nation this week set at 73 points. The UNDER is 4-1 in the last five games between West Virginia and Oklahoma State.

That UNDER trend could be in jeopardy this Saturday. Both of these teams are very comfortable playing in shootouts, and it’s hard to predict this matchup going any other way in what should be a fun one.
